I've been thinking about replacing mine. How do you find it? Does it affect the metering or AF?
Which one did you go for?

I went for the S type screen.

I find it great for manual focusing - very happy. There is a small effect on metering which you can compensate with Exp Comp if needed. If you go for one with a split prism, I believe it will also affect the spot metering where the prism is...

I had someone fit mine but I understand it isn't complicated - took them around 10-15 minutes. I had to use one of the two included shims to calibrate the screen.

It is slightly darker with f/2.8 lenses, noticeably darker with f/4 and much darker with f/5.6 lenses - that's the trade offf with a screen designed for manual focusing. The factory screen is optimized for brightness with f/2.8 lenses.
