That second last pic, "La minestra riscaldato", is something to absolutely weep with envy over and to treasure as a great example of what is possible with strong composition and strong PP.

What did you do for PP with that shot, by the way?

The PP went as follows:

Made a Tiff in DXO with basic adjustments and then opened it in Picture Window Pro. ( a cheap but powerful photoshop clone)

Using a mask I darkened the sky and then used the dodging and burning tools just like I used to do in the darkroom to brighten the boats and add some more darkness where needed.

I took this shot  with my "obsolete" GX1 and was surprised how much I was able to manipulate the image without losing image quality.
