I am going to disagree with this statement. Are you serious? Nikon 85 1.4D is called the cream machine. It has one of the best (some would argue the best) and the most pleasing bokeh known to human kind. At least it is in a very short list of lenses with the best bokeh possible. Rokinon has an interesting bokeh but I would not put it in the same sentence with the Cream Machine.

Finally none of your examples show that buttery Rokinon bokeh. Did you click on the link at the top of my thread where I linked my examples with Nikkor 85 1.4D???

Don't meant to disappoint you, but the rokinon has better smoother bokeh. The nikon is still a cream machine, no doubt, and some aspects of the nikon are better than the rokinon, but the rokinon does produce creamier bokeh from 1.4 to f2, not by much, but it is creamier.

I didn't post my photos to "compare" them with yours or the nikon lens. This is not a competition

I will do more testing with Rokinon in the next few weeks.   Too bad I dont have my old Nikon cream machine to compare side by side.  I will report my findings.

P.S.  I am not disappointed!  I did buy the Rokinon after all
