Re: Sony a6000 Build Quality

Such a great thread and have really enjoyed reading people's subjective opinions on quality and feel. In fact, it reminds me of a book that some of you may have read: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. The author spent much of the book trying to determine what the word quality meant. Is it light or heavy, small or big, etc. I see many parallels here.

Now, for my part, I just received an A6000 and I'm pretty pleased with it. While I agree that it feels 'lighter' than it looks, it also feels nicely constructed. So perhaps it's a little of both. As one previous post mentioned, when my lens is mounted and the battery installed, it feels quite good in the hand. I daresay that I'm not bold enough to scratch the finish presently in order to determine what parts are metal or composite.  My wife has has the Nex-6, though, and she was quite envious of the feel of the top. FWIW....
