OSS too? Thats a plus for low light scenarios handheld...otherwise Im surprise a wide angle would have it,...can't wait to see its performance.

Nikon already did that with excellent 16-35/4.0 VR. Its optical quality is better than Canon 17-40L and 16-35L/2.8 II. Canon has rumored IS version 17-40L or 16-40L. It sets a standard in UWA zoom in this range. Hope this FE 16-35 is as good as Nikon version in optical quality, but please design to work best on both ends not in middle as Sony did in other FE zoom.

Yes IS/VR/OSS is still useful in UWA zoom as Nikon did and Canon did with several relative new prime, 24mm IS, 28mm IS and 35mm IS. In low-light hand-held scenarios, you can hand-held with such lens with IS/VR/OSS at 1/2-1/4 sec for example that makes a difference.

And Sony do it in their 10-18mm, Fuji in their 12-24mm, Canon in their 11-22mm etc.

I am only interested in FF.  I guess you mean Canon EF-S 10-22/3.5-4.5 (without 'IS') or EF-M 11-22/4-5.6 IS (slower but with 'IS').  Both are very good on respective mount.

Nikon 16-35/4.0 VR is a standard this FE 16-35/4.0 OSS to compare.

My point was the Nikon isnt the only ultra wide with OSS. That's all, it is becoming quite commonplace nowadays.
