I too have upgraded to the V2. There were three reasons:

1: The ergonomics are so much more like the DSLR's that I usually use that I find I can work faster and more easily than I could with the V1 (which I really loved, and used a lot, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to its faults). This is what finally sold me the camera - I picked one up in a Henry's store and once I saw what the "F" button does I was hooked!

2: Price wise, $489 is a price that finally makes sense. Over $1200 for a V3 does not.

3: My son shamelessly stole the V1 for a school trip, and likes it so much he won't give it back!

PS: The "same" IQ as the V1 suits me just fine...........
