A tripod will give you far superior stabilization than OIS. Therefore, you should always disable OIS when using tripod, for reasons explained here.

Jury is out on that one if you read the article properly. The anti shake auto stabilisation MAY cause shake due to a feedback loop and it MAY be better to turn it off when using a tripod. However in years of using various NX bodies on tripods I've never noticed any problem with it.

I have seen feedback issues with in body shake reduction with a 300mm telephoto lens.  If the lens vibrates a bit the camera tries to correct the image, but the movement of the sensor causes the camera body to vibrate more, which causes an uncontrolled positive feedback and pretty soon my camera was vibrating so much I thought it was going to break  This was on a Pentax.

I haven't seen this happen on my Samsung, but haven't shot many telephoto lenses either.

The real issue could be forgetting to turn it back on again when the camera is handheld if you use it at all.

I have done that too.  I wish all lenses had switches for AF/MF and OIS.
