I think first people should decide: Mirrorless or DSLR.

I think mirrorless has some advantages: You can have a small version of your camera within the same system, No worry about AF calibration, The electronic live image shows what will be recorded, Easier sensor cleaning because the sensor is more close to the opening, better or smaller wide angle lenses because the mount/mirror does not restrict lens design.

On the other hand, for long tele, DSLRs are better ( or bridge superzooms )..

After that decision then you decide what lenses.

The Samsung 16-50 F2-2.8 is very competitive in the mirrorless area.
