I dont mess with my pics, but I need lightroom for one important reason

Did you mean to say Photoshop?

1 To be able to use 0.2 and 0.3 radius sharpening as Lightroom only goes down to a very crude 0.5.

Microsoft Adobe have kept us buying both for years , if only for this reason. I call it greed.

If you need that why not only buy photoshop since it can do more the LR. I for myself wouldn't find any reason to buy LR currently.

I have PS and LR (CC) and both have their uses. For several years I just used PS. Then when LR3 came out, I started using that but still did most of my edits in PS. Now LR 5.4 has gotten so good that I rarely need to do any photo editing in PS.

Here are a few reasons to get LR. There are probably many more.

LR is better at as well as easier to use for making prints than PS.

LR is a great DAM program.

LR edits non-destructively.

LR doesn't create monster edited files like PS can.

LR is fast and can do most photo edits.

You can change the interface font size up to 200% in LR. I still have trouble seeing these interface fonts in PS - even at the large size setting. This is something that matters on a 30" monitor.

Wow, is this argument getting old:-)

I certainly don't agree on this one:

LR is a great DAM program.

I know better ones.

So? 'Great' is not the same as 'the best'.
