I'm already second guessing myself and I haven't even received mine yet. I thought that maybe the new AF on the A6000 would be fast enough that I could dump my A99 for birding and just use the A6000. Needless to say, i went out today with the rental with the 70-400, and the combination is a total dog. So I ask myself, what hole does the A6000 fill? I could go A7 for general and landscape and A77 II for birding, and cover all my bases,

Anybody want an A6000 and SEL16-70, unopened for $1345?

Just for fun!

So you went birding with a rented a6000 and the Sony G 70-400 and the LA-EA..? Which adapter? Or am I misunderstanding?

i have a 70-300 G and the LA-EA2 and in my limited use so far it's not what I'd consider a lightning quick operational photographic juggernaut combination... For birds that are happy to pose it's fine. Unfortunately, that kind of limits the subject set to waterfowl and taxidermy

I would love love to see a native e mount long telephoto, either prime or a constant aperture zoom, say 100-400 with a teleconverter, but I doubt one is coming. Seems if Sony was interested in producing one we would have seen it by now. Maybe someday they'll make a FF model.
