If you're hoping for significantly better IQ for the E-M5 replacement I suspect you are going to be disappointed.

Sensor technology hasn't really improved over the last three years apart from a bit of tweaking which is why manufacturer's are removing AA filters to try and get that last bit of sharpness.

Until the some new tech like the much discussed organic sensors become commercially available (if they ever do) then it will mainly be additional (software) features that will be added.

Having said that the new viewfinder in the E-M1 is a significant improvement over the one in the E-M5 and I'm sure that Oly will think of some new features that everybody will want added to their previous gen cameras.
