Dilema over which lenses to take on Safari

Hi All

We are going to Tanzania on safari next summer and I am trying to get my kit organised

Here is my problem . I intend to take my D800 and D700 bodies with 24-70 and 70-200 but its the long end I am struggling with !!

We are restricted to 15kg hold luggage and 5kg hand luggage , I don't want to put my gear in the hold so have to think of another idea

I have a 300mm f2.8 but think its a bit short and heavy

I have a Sigma 500mm f4.5 which would be nice to take but again on the heavy side

I also have 1.4x and 2.0x which I can take in my pocket

Or do I get a 80-400 af-s and just take the 24-70 and 80-400 which is the lightest option

I am also a bit considered about dust getting into the 80-400 as its a pumper rather than internal focus

I know quite a few on here have done safari's as I have looked up the threads

Any suggestions welcome
