Help with a T1i 500D
Apr 25, 2014
We are trying to help someone out on another forum. The user claims this camera does not have true LV. That in LV the mirror is still down. When he presses the shutter the mirror goes up, the shutters open and close to take the exposure and the mirror comes down and the cycle repeats during the best exposure.
We find this puzzling. How can it be LV if the mirror is down? It would still have to be on phase detect AF. So the question is if this is actually how it works where is the light coming from to project an image onto the LCD? Via the viewfinder and then somehow transferred?
I downloaded the manual but can't find the solution. Some help would be appreciated. Also if you could take the time to point out the page in the manual where I can find details on this would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
