Bee, I'm expecting you

You poets or lovers of choral music will get the reference.  I went over to my friend's place a couple of days ago to watch him repopulate his bee hives.  Sadly last bees didn't make it over the winter. My daughter was quite fearless...she's never had a bee sting.  I was happy that she was calm and let the bees climb on her legs.  No stings for any of us.  I didn't have a hood and I was fine.

These are jpegs.  I do have RAW files, but just wanted to share these quickly.  They were lightly processed in PS mini bridge.  These were shot on my a99 with the Sony 28-75 F2.8 with my lens filter removed because I was getting some intense flares with my Tiffen on.  I quite liked the colors I got.

10,000 bees/cage

the hive boxes

The queen and a few helpers are contained in the little cage he's holding up

lots of honey for the new bees to feast on

pouring bees

bees attracted to the pheromones from their queen

all cleaned up

bees in her bonnet

Thanks for looking all!  C & C welcome!
