UWA IME isn't about "real look".

Even though the results can often look very good.

My typical application for WA (beside the boring land- or city-scapes) remains the comical entertainment during parties or gatherings: a portrait of somebody who is all so serious and expects to get a proper portrait (being shot, after all, with a serious cam and a big lens), while instead s/he gets a shot with his/her head blown up, taking 25% of the frame(*), surrounded by many tiny people.(**)

(*) Depending on the person, center the shot on either eye or nose.

(**) Shoot slightly from above. Being taller than the rest helps.

Especially with the fish-eye lens, which is (same as the rectilinear ultra-wide lenses) is not often easy to use very effectively. Outside of the humour zone of course . There are just too many elements in one frame to care for.
