G1X Mark II versus Micro 4/3

I just sold off my Powershot G16. It's was a handy camera, great exposure even in low light, has geo tagging via smart phone.

BUT - it still is a small sensor camera, has no vari-angle screen - hard to shoot from odd angles.

Coming from an old S3IS and 60D, I miss the vari-angle screen and the view finder as well. But bottom line is, I want a camera for street photography.

So my question is -- will a G1X Mark ii hold its own against say a Panasonic GX7 w/ 20mm?

The sensor sizes are almost the same. Both are definitely lighter than a 60D. You can shoot from the hip. They both can shoot star trails and time lapse respectively .

But the G1X Mk ii has a better walk around lens.... 24-120mm F2-3.9 is not something that can be matched with other lenses.

But -- that lens is still electronic. Somehow I miss having a manual lens to help during composition. And someone is selling their GX7  for $750. which gives me options to put other lenses down the line too.

Seems like a case of gear-acquisition-syndrome!

Any comments?
