I road raced cars years ago and a better analogy is: someone being focused on producing max horsepower (dyno testing and all the charts etc) and basically ignoring the car's handling or having adequate horsepower and spending one's time instead on getting the handling dialed in perfectly. One has a limited amount of resources (time and money) and being focused on one thing past the point of being adequate just doesn't really pan out. I won a LOT of races with a lot less horsepower than the people I raced against.

Thank you, Stacey. Your analogy is absolutely "spot on" and it is much better than my simplistic example. However, given the "simplistic" posts by a very few on this forum...
