Possible future camera feature ? Refocusing images later

I wonder if this will be a special effect feature in cameras in the coming decade, where it refocuses the image depending on where you click.

A lot of the cameras these days will defocus the background (and photo editting software can simulate it also).

This lytro camera seems to take a series of photos at different DOF and stacks them. Then when you click on an area of the photo it will refocus on that area.

I really wish all of my photos would do that

Just like how cameras bracket exposure or white balance, it would be nice to bracket focus (& exposure in the same series). Aka "Focus Stacking"
