There ARE converters in the market, both wide and tele. Not Fujifilm, but Sony and Olympus make them, and possibly more.

They're screw-on things and for a tele at least they will need to be pretty huge to give full field of view.

I had such a thing - the Olympus TCON-14b - a 1.45x job, and know it's still available. But it used a 62mm attachment thread size so to use it on an X100s would require step rings in series. The outer lens was some 86mm and the thing weighed a pound and a half. It would need a very committed user to make use of that monster on our little cameras.

Still it might be worthwhile to investigate other devices from other makers and it shouldn't be a difficult Google to find out.
