Adjusting to improve purple

A few days ago there was a thread here about Panasonic and the color purple. My wife just completed a blue and purple quilt for a wall hanging in the dining room the images below were taken using natural light with the color setting as vivid. What do you think? (Note: I'm not color-blind, but my daughter says I can't distinguish various shades of color well.) However, the wall color in #2 is real close to the actual paint color.

The first is SOOC except for some straightening and slight cropping.


The image below is after processing using Faststone image viewer. I increased red+20 and decreased blue -20.

After processing

I thing the 2nd is closer to the original of the two and shows the red in the purple better.
