Re: E-M5 is compatible win FlashAir cards?

i just got a flashair card 8gb class 6, which is the older model and it took some time to figure out how it works with my OMD E-M5. Initially the card's LAN was always on & so it was draining my battery very quickly. This is how you toggle the LAN on the flashair with an EM5:
-First of all you have to download the flashair.exe file from the toshiba site and install it onto your PC.
-Insert your flashair card into your PC and run the flashair utility from the desktop icon that was installed when you ran flashair.exe.
-Format the card (this may not need to be done if its a new card) using the flashair utility
-Go to the network settings and name your card & set a password
-Go to the "Wireless LAN startup mode" section and set the startup mode to manual, and I set the image to be the default image.
Now, eject your card safely and put it into your EM5.
On your iphone, look for wifi connections in the settings section of your phone. There probably is not any LAN named after your flashair card. So you have to go to the playback button on your camera, and go to the image that you set to be the startup image, and protect it, then unprotect it. Now when you go to look for wifi connections on your phone, the connection named after your flashair card will show up! Keep in mind that when you turn your camera off, the LAN will not wake up again when you turn your camera back on so to activate the LAN again you must protect & then unprotect the startup image again. if you protect the startup image without turning off the camera, the LAN will also turn off this way & then unprotect it again to turn the LAN back on.
Be patient when toggling the LAN because it takes about 5-10 seconds for the LAN to startup and appear in your phones wifi connections.
I have not tested to see if the battery drain is much better by keeping the LAN turned off unless I manually turn it on to transfer, but it should work this way.
