X10 raw + jpg 6MP vs 12MP test

Testing seems to be the consensus, so here goes:

X10 set to raw +  jpeg

6MP DR400 iso 100 vs 12MP Dr100 ISO 100

RAW files converted in Lightroom 5.4.  Both exported as max quality 4000 x 3000 jpegs.

This was a low test under room lights at night. Camera on tripod.

1. The exposure was the same for both shots, yet the 6MP shot came out much brighter at the default lightroom settings.  I balanced it best as I could.

2. As ever, compare the original files not the compressed DPR

3. I see no detail difference between these

4. The 6MP have colour moire - what caused that?
