Calgary Zoo with the Nikon DF...

After 4 decades, our Elephants are leaving us for the Smithsonian Zoo in Washington DC this week. For optimal health and well-being, the elephants need more space and be part of a larger herd (social animals) which we can not offer them here. I hate to see them go, but it is for the best :). Took some photos of them for memories sake as well as the other animals.

Took my DF and my trusty Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 V1 and Nikon 85mm f1.8. The wide apertures and telephoto attributes helped isolate the animals better and help blur out distractions like wired cages and dirty panels of glass.

Playing with a ball.

This contraption holds my food!
