It’s been on the agenda for a long while but finally got myself down to Brandon Marsh and nature reserve near Coventry. Barely a 50 minute run from home, and the weather was set fair.
This venue is outstanding. For us old codgers it is only £1.50 entrance fee and they have a delightful little restaurant and gift shop which one passes by to enter the grounds. From here, there are nature trails in more directions than there are points on a compass!
This will be a photo album to build on because the grounds are extensive and you could discover a new trail with every visit. However, I think I saw more cameras than birds so I am beginning to think that the best policy would be to find a nice comfortable bench by one of the numerous lakes or ponds and let nature come to me, rather than me trying to stalk it.
Regards to all
