(ISO 12800) Slumming it with the D610 and 50mm 1.8D

This camera is still pretty new to me so I'm still getting a feel for the handling. Recently I stumbled onto some DF photos shot at 12800 and began to wondered how good or bad the D610 looked. I haven't run this thing past ISO 3200 before tonight.

Regarding the result, I'm impressed with the noise performance and look of the grain. I doubt I'll need ISO 12800 often but at least I know it's quite usable for when I do need it.

*I literally spent 3 seconds on this photo. Converted from NEF, LNR set to 30 in ACR. No other noise reduction was performed. Resized 50% for DPR galleries.

View the original here . DPR processed jpegs stink.

Snapshot of my little guy being funny.
