Looks a lot like my D800, which was also an early model, focus tracking is a dogs dinner on it. It has a lot of back focus issues (I have adjusted the camera for each lens) when I use continuous focus and the AF button in particular. It has various other focusing issues in other conditions also. I have recently bought a new D800e and have not yet had any focus issues, so the old one will be going back to Nikon and I hope they will have the decency to fix it and not try and squirm their way out of doing so.

My experience with Nikon repair is they do not squirm about the issue. Nikon Los Angeles recently adjusted my D800 and it no longer needs any fine focus for multiple lenses and they fixed the left sensor PDAF problem. They can do it if you remain civil with them.
