70D focus and metering buttons (back button focus)
I have just bought a 70D as an upgrade from my trusty old 350D.
On the 350D, I used custom functions to set the * button on the rear of the camera to lock the focus and then metering was performed when the shutter was half-pressed. This enabled me to lock focus, recompose and then meter and shoot.
I am trying to figure out how to set up a similar configuration on the 70D but can't work out which options to set. I think the AF-ON button will do what I need in terms of focusing, but it also locks exposure by default? And I don't know how to set the shutter button to set AE only.
Can anyone help, please?
