X-T1 continuous autofocus - is that the normal behavior?

Hi,

I just bought a X-T1 and the 27mm lens.

I tried the continuos autofocus, and I have the feeling that there is something wrong with it. If I point at an object and half press the shutter-release button, the autofocus is continuously pumping a little bit back and forth. It doesn't have something to do with bad lightning, it's the same in bright light. And it only starts "hunting" when I half press the shutter-release button - if I only point the camera to some different objects the pre-AF focuses on that objects without hunting.

What confuses me is, that the AF-C on my X100s seems to work in a different way. If I focus on an object and half press the shutter release button, the AF-C looks and doesn't pumps back and forth.

Do I have a faulty X-T1, or is that a feature to better focus on moving subjects?

Thank you, Björn
