They do work - just imperfectly. That is why critical focus on DSLRs (for example, when testing lenses and cameras) is always done manually. Just ask DPR

And AF tracking works on mirrorless cameras, only poorly. Just ask DPR. I think every such review they have posted says someplace that the camera is not good for shooting sports or action.

Except it was not said about E-M1, or X-T1, or a6000 (no review yet though).

BTW, tracking is not the same as C-AF and not the same as S-AF.
