Absolutely. But....

as I do get better, so do my standards get higher----much higher.  Compounding that problem is  that the curve for actual improvement is roughly linear, but the one for standards is exponential.  The days when I could be unqualifiedly pleased with my images are long gone, although in truth because of personal background quirks that are uncommon that moment might have been gone before I even took up photography.

As is said, ignorance is bliss.
