*** Mini Challenge #422 Bland to Grand ***

This challenge is for all you post processors out there. I want to see your best shot(s) at taking a very Bland image and making it into Grand eye candy. Each entry MUST have both the before and after images to be considered. Please submit up to two (2) entries with before and after images--thus up to 4 images. Exhibits are welcome. I'm reducing it to two (2) entries because of the number of images per person. I think we are going to see some spectacular shots.

You can add or remove content--e.g. add/remove objects such as people that weren't in the original or remove wires, stop signs or other objects that don't make sense in the image. You can crop, change colors--whatever, but it should still be photographic and not in the realm of a painting or abstract.

Here are some examples:

Before-Bland image of a covered bridge in Vermont--lots of potential, though, but a drab cloudy day.

After--adding sunshine (shadows), blue sky, clouds and saturation.

Before--Sunset over water with some potential, but bland colors and framing.

After-nice orange-red while still maintaining a blue sky with better framing.

This weeks challenge will run from now until next Monday April 14th @ 7pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

The host gives you a topic of interest and you get going.

NOTE: You may enter up to TWO competition images. They must include a before and after image.

The host chooses the winner after the challenge closes (usually after one week). The decision of the judge (the host) is final. The judge is not eligible. The winner then chooses the next topic, runs the challenge, judges the winner, and passes on the baton to that person.

If you submit a photo, please check in when the winners are posted. The first place winner is expected to host the next challenge. If the first place person cannot host, it moves to the 2nd place, or if the 2nd cannot host, the baton goes to the third, etc.

Any picture you've taken is eligible, regardless of when taken or camera used.

When Submitting:

Please reply to the FIRST (ORIGINAL) post and please remember to change the Subject of your post to display your name or picture titles. This way, when someone comments (i.e. replies), it will refer specifically to you. If all entries read "Re: Mini Challenge #422..." it would be very boring to scan the list.

Try to put all of your entries within a 'single' post.

Please give a title to each photo - this makes it easier to differentiate when giving comments.

Entries previously submitted are welcome, as long as they weren't winners.

Feel free to comment on other contestants' images.
