Re: Prime alone, or to augment zoom?

Note that for 40% of the time you were using 14mm or wider. My suggestion for the 12mm was on the basis of NOT having anything wider. Now if I can have the 7-14 in my bag, then I might well consider the 17 (or 17.5) as the next lens. My target collection is currently: 7.5mm fisheye, 17mm, 14-42 kit lens and 45mm f/1.8. I have the latter two, plus the 11-22 from my 4/3 kit.

Okay, I see that and I agree about the 12mm.

My earlier numbers were guesses, so I did some Lightroom calculations, FWIW :

7-14mm - 441 - 33% (I generally shoot at the extremes with this, but I'd guess there are a number at around 12mm, too)

12mm - 70 - 5% (night and low light)

17.5mm - 578 - 44%

42.5mm - 186 - 14%

14-42mm & 105mm - 24 - 4%

Total Shots 1319
