Lovely composition and picture however where was the focus point? The eyes need to be razor sharp, either you captured the eyebrows or the lens is front focussing.

The focusing variation has to do with my inexperience with the focusing system and how to adapt to the way it works. Over time I will be able to yield a higher rate of success with my captures. There is no issue with front focus. In this instance, the lens to subject distance was quite short and the aperture in many cases was wide open amd so I needed to be more careful of where the actual point of focus was. I should have stopped my aperture setting down another half or full f-stop. That would likey have enabled me to extend the depth of field enough to ensure getting both eyes sharply in focus.

It just takes time getting used to using a new piece of technology and becoming intuitive with the controls, menu system, and ergonomics.

I think your aperture selection was ideal, the lovely soft focus on the rest of her is ideal. Perhaps investigating the focus peaking feature is an idea.
