If you want the clouds to have detail, the sky to look blue instead of turquoise, and the gray areas to not have color speckles but instead to be gray, then you need RAW. If you don't care about any of those things, then you don't. But, since you are taking the time to edit your images anyway, you might as well use RAW, since it takes no longer to edit a RAW file than it does a JPEG, and you have a great deal more to play with.
