Report: Nissin to make flash with Fuji mount

Good, I had a Nissin in Nikon mount and it was well made.

well, it's a start. Now hopefully other companies will do the same. Like Metz.

What's the advantage(s) over the Fuji EF-42? The power output is essentially the same. 42m at 105mm and ISO 100 for the Fuji. 40m at 105mm and ISO 100 for the Nissin. I don't believe the Nissin will be capable of wireless TTL on the X-T1. The X-T1 does not support it as far as I know. The X-T1 doesn't support high speed sync, so the Nissin capability of HHS is null and void. If the Nissin's price for Fuji mount is anywhere near what it is for Canon and Nikon, it will be about $100 more than the EF-42. What's the advantage?

None that I see.

The press releases state Fuji mount will come, the website doesn't... It only says Canon, Nikon, Sony, 4/3. I hope I'm wrong but I remember a number of flashes advertised as compatible with Panasonic/Fuji a while back, but the mentioned models were only super zooms and other compacts.

I would love Nissin to release a flash that works in auto mode with the X-cams and I think the i40 would be a perfect match as it's small and has almost the same control layout as the EF-X20. But I fear the Fuji mount only means full manual :-(
