7D and plenty of light ?

Say you are shooting BIF... not one in particular but just randomly, big, small, faster, slower, brighter or darker birds....

What shutter speed, ISO, and aperture do you prefer, if given the choice, with plenty available light ? Or, in other words, when you get out of your car, and start heading for the field, where do your settings start out, before you start tweaking your cam for specific aspects ?

After owning my 7D for a little over a month, I think I'm starting to try for 1/1600 or 1/2000th, ISO 400, F6.3 or F7.1

I shoot in the TV mode, so these parameters ^ will adjust on their own of course, too, but its nice when their is so much light, they don't have to adjust, or, they adjust in the positive direction...

Your start settings ?
