Why in the world would Nikon take the D7200 and name it D9300?  Makes zero sense to me.   A D9x00 series needs to be a different level of performance at a different price level and I rather doubt that Nikon intends to give up on the D7x00 price point as it has been a very successful price point for them.

There's plenty of room for a D7200 and a D9300/D400 in the market.  I'm not going to go dig it up now, but I've written up a couple lists of things here before that could easily differentiate a D9300 from any D7x00.  That would not be hard to do at all if Nikon thought it was good for the product line to have a camera above the D7x00 in price and performance.
