Is the A58 now the entry level SLT?

As a A35 owner, I am shocked that the entry level full SLT is the A58.

The nice thing about the A35 was the rather excellent LCD viewer, that disappeared with the A37 which was a downgrade.  In fact, the A35 monitor was higher resolution than the A58, just wish the sensor was also.

Most of the features of the A35 were acceptable.  IQ was also acceptable.

To now get into the SLT category, I would need to go A58, which appears to be unloved based on the steep discounts.  Or I could get an A65, equally unpopular.

The big question is, where is SONY going with the SLTs?  Will it be high end only?

That would be my prediction, that SONY will start the SLT line at the A77 level and jettison the low end.
