Build a new PC for digital photography

I am thinking to build a new PC which should be close to state-of-the-art for digital photography editing.

Here is what I don't have, but would like:

* Intel i7-4770K (can be overclocked to 3.9 GHz) > Is this a good choice for the price???

* Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Gene Socket LGA 1150

* 2 x Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory

* 1 SSD (256 GB) should suffice for OS/

Here is what I have

* 2 x 1TB 7200 hard drive (good for back up) + DVD drive + 1 external Bay drive

* XFX FX-775A-ZNP4 Radeon HD 7750 Core Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card > I don't do gaming, and this card uses little power.

* PSU 500 W >  I think it should be good enough with the new motherboard and processor, but I also want to double check.

So here are my questions:

(i) will the combination motherboard / CPU be a killer combo?

(ii) will photoshop run almost instantaneous?

(iii) which computer case should I aim for based on the specs I want?

Any other recommendations would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Photography is about time, space, expression, and - ultimately - capturing light. This formula may sound easy, but actually capturing the "ideal" photograph is far more complex to accomplish as our own perceptions and responses vary according to each individual. Photography is inherently driven by human subjectivity, but the general feeling is that a superb photograph is widely appreciated, as it commonly depicts a striking and universal concept. I believe this process should be sought by many of us, who deeply enjoy capturing and sharing photographs that embrace life and depict what we are.
