If you really want a dirt cheap legacy lens to adapt, the 28mm f3.5 lenses that were offered as cheaper wide angle lenses for 35mm systems approximate a 55mm field of view on your camera, which is a long-normal and pretty useful. In my own experience they suffer wide open as a result of adapting, so you're looking at a slower lens (f5.6 or so). The good side is you can often find one on eBay for ~$20. The adapter will set you back another $15 or so.

I have two, an Olympus OM and a Konica Hexanon, I think the slight edge (although it could come down to sample variance) goes to the OM.
