Pro photographers and "prime vs zoom" issue
1

Many comments about the Sony Zeiss 24-70 lens seem to say that you can't expect excellent performance from zoom lenses, that pro photographers use primes rather than zooms.

Here is what Art Wolfe says:

"I have shot the majority of my images with just 2 lenses over the years. Both are “L” series lenses, Canon’s professional designation, the 16-35 f2.8 L II and the 70-200 f4 L IS. If I could have only 2 lenses going forward I’d be happy with these, they have served me well for a long time now."

I don't think many would argue that Art is less than an excellent photographer, and he also has assistants to carry his gear in most cases.

I'm just trying to put some perspective into this issue.
