The Nikon lens sale is over, so what did you buy?

Re: The Nikon lens sale is over; I let it pass... D700, instead.

I decided to let it pass. The one discounted lens that was of primary interest, the 80-400G, was still above my affordability range. I offered to buy a 16-85G for my wife, but she declined, preferring to stay with her third-party zoom that has more range.

A discounted 14-24G would have certainly gotten my attention, but it was not discounted this year.

I bought a pre-owned D700. Now, I have an FX digital companion for my F6 bodies. Life is good!

I wear a badge and pistol, and, primarily with 7D cameras, with an EF-S 10-22mm and 100mm Macro L, make evidentiary images at night, which incorporates elements of portrait, macro, still life, landscape, architecture, and PJ. During personal time, I enjoy using both Canons and Nikons.
