Few curious legacy lenses on E-mount...

Just few shots taken with Sony E-mounts and some rather rare lenses that I haven't seen often here. (for few of us - legacy lens freaks...)

Ultra Micro Nikkor 50/1.8h on Sony A7 (crop mode)

This is one of the sharpest if not the sharpest lens ever made with a Nikkor name on it. It is capable of resolving over 800lines/mm. This is shot from a 5 Eur banknote on A7 in crop mode, with a lens reverse mounted on the camera using EOS/E-mount. I am still working on the adapter for a normal mount. I am expecting interesting results on A7r using focus stacking...

Another Ultra Micro Nikkor - 55/2 is an interesting lens that was also intended for industrial use, but it can be used for general photography when placed in the hellicoid tube. I am working on that solution too, using hellicoid Leica M to E mount, but still looking for some improvements. Unfortunatelly, the copy that I managed to find locally has removed iris, so I can use it only wide open (so far).Shot bellow is at NEX 7 using home made f/5.6 (approx.) aperture iris placed on the rear element (causing vignetting though).

Finally, here are two shots from a CZJ Biotar 50mm f/1.4

On A7...

And NEX 7

This Biotar was made for Pentaflex 16mm film camera and I am still working on its adapter for E-mount, but here are first efforts. It covers nicely APS-C, and slightly vignette on A7. While. i haven't nailed focus in the second shot, it looks like a lens with a "Biotar signature". I simply love all Biotars and even their Russian Helios copies.

(All shots were imported on my Ipad and uploaded from there, so I am not sure about quality.)
