Re: Updated d700

Nikon did not have an update for the d700.  The d4 and d4s are both too high of a price for anybody, but the wealthier people or mostly for the pro sports or wildlife shooter.  The d800 is not an update to the d700 with too many pixels, too slow of frame rate and small buffer.

My idea of a true update is a camera built like the d700 with 6 frames per second with a good buffer at around a 24 mp sensor.  This would be a wonderful reasonable cost camera used for any type of photography with excellent results.

I personally can no longer afford a professionally gripped camera such as the d4s and the d5 will run over $7,000 if produced in the next two years.  The d800 is not the best fit for my type of photography which is producing prints up to around a 16 X 24 shooting mostly birds and birds in flight.

There just seems to be a wide gap between a consumer, semi pro and pro type cameras.
