Just purchased the new 30mm Pancake lens.
? I don't think I would consider the 30mm new by now.
Here are few my shots from my past couple times out with the camera. I love this lens and has really been taking over as my primary every day lens. I only have the 18-55mm lens that came with the camera, but I find myself using this lens now 75% of the time.
Yeah, I only use the 18-55 for wide shots, since I haven't purchased anything wider. The 12-24 is kinda pricey, and I hear the 16 isn't all that great and it costs more than the 30 did... and is a slower lens, so I haven't gone for that either. The fisheye is fairly specialised, and also a slow lens, though it is supposed to be fairly good at what it does, but a fisheye just isn't for me right now.
Tell me what you think? and any other recommendations on my next lens purchase? Thanks,
Telling us a bit more about how or what you like to shoot would help with us give a recommendation.

I think the glass in the background is a little distracting here, the leading lines dray me to the empty pair of shoes. Maybe just shoot from a little higher and little more left on this one?

Hmm, maybe turn the lovely lady a little bit more towards the light in this one, or a little more away and expose for the face if you're going for a bit of rim lighting. Could you have moved (both you and the model together) further back? I don't think I really like this composition but I'm not really seeing a good one at this distance with this focal length.

This one I like, maybe include the edges of her head or crop in a little tighter to remove the gap in the upper right corner, hmm, no never mind, that would end up chopping off too much I think. A very nice shot though, I like the light on the lady, a little more on the butterfly (or moth?) would be nice. I think it would also work a little better without the people in the background, but I'm sure the insect doesn't afford us al the time in the world we would like to adjust the tiny things, I like this shot quite a lot overall.

Good use of depth of field here, I don't think I really have any criticisms on this one except maybe to move have the subject a little more to the right side of the frame.

This one is an instant winner, great use of depth of field, the background is also interesting and I feel like this shot tells a bit of a story.

Not a fan on this shot, I feel like it should be tighter or wider, or vertical. Maybe a portrait orientation here capturing the full reflection of that tower? Or is the water not actually that wide enough?
All of this is just my opinions, so don't worry if you don't agree with me, it's all subjective after all.
