do lens make sound when shaken?

I have a new canon 85mm 1.8 and when I give it a gentle shake

it sounds like the some parts of the internals are not fixed.

Something is moving inside and it make a sound.

I took it to a camera shop while I was shopping (not the place I bought the lens from)

and asked if it was normal and the said it is normal as the AF motor inside is

suppose to be loose. (same goes with the I.S units)

When comparing it to one of their demo lenses (85mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.4) their lenses also made a similar sound but their 85mm 1.8 lens made a much quieter sound.

Do different lens suppose to make different sounds? Should I be worried as my unit is louder?

The lens works fine as far as I can see. It focuses well and shoots well.
