A quick Flower Shot

Spring has sprung here in Texas. Round here in the Hill Country we're going to have bumper flower show this year. One of the nicer flowers is the plentiful Indian Paint Brush with a very nice pinkish red color. After spending much of day on technical posts and having lots of trouble with my site FTP, it was time for a break.

So here's a rare thing for me, an actual photograph!

SD9 plus 70mm f/2.8 macro under a CFL desk lamp

True to form under such lighting, my SD9 produced petals with a dirty brown color. However, the magic of RawTherapee's HSV equalizer soon fixed that, so what you see is what I saw!

And to show that a fancy studio is not always needed, here's the crime scene:
