I'm not convinced Fuji gets any advantage from it's X trans color array vs. Bayer. It is supposed to yield less moire and recoup detail by forgoing an AA filter, but I don't see a detail advantage. There was one particularly in depth study where the author came to the same conclusion. In the study he used the best X-trans RAW converter instead of Adobes. Personally, I love Fuji's hardware and jpeg colors but wish they would just use a Bayer array like everyone else.

P.S. Don't judge the difference between the RAW's based on colors. I didn't have the correct color profile in the Adobe RAW conversion of the X-trans sample. Since it was originally done to show detail I never went back and corrected it. Others might not be happy that I used Adobe at all but I find it Ok for portraits.
