Thanks Brian. What are you going to do with your SX260 now that you've bought the GM1?
I was all set to buy the new G1X2 (sold off some old camera gear so I already have the cash) but now I'm not so sure anymore. I guess I'll wait and read the reviews and user feedback first. Anyway, if I do buy it, I will still keep my SX240 in my pocket all the time for the extra reach or maybe even update to the SX700 if Canon has managed to get the battery problem under control.

You may have mistaken me for someone who looks like me LOL, I don't have a GM1, my main camera is still the SX260 which still impresses me. Actually I will always carry small cameras, and maybe I will also buy a SX700 near the end of June when the price drops and the end of financial year sales are on.
I haven't taken much since returning from my trip around the southern part of Australia, its hard to get back into taking the same old scenery when i had a couple of months of fantastic views to take.
