The metering system in mirrorless cameras is better than DSLRs?

I wasn't aware of that. Is this true? What exactly is that mean?

I am not looking so much for a really really technical answer, but more like something in the English language, something i can understand What makes the DSLR metering system "not as accurate"?

Thank you.
